 Green Beans: grow on bushes; high bush, low bush and pole Beans. French, haricot vert is the smallest most tender of the beans, it is not necessary to pull the tough string that is in the larger beans in your preparation, only the stem and tail, the Spanish Montague, is larger. 

Recipes: Green Beans Almondine - steam beans, then saute them in butter and top with toasted almonds,salt and pepper to taste.

Stir-fry fried green beans- in a hot wok or saute pan, add 1 T. olive oil, toss blanched green beans into wok with minced garlic, toss until skin blisters slightly salt and pepper to taste.
