Yukon Gold Mashed Potatoes

Classic Yukon gold flavor in a mashed potato

  • 8 lbs. yukon gold potatoes peeled
  • 1 cup 1/2 and 1/2
  • 1/4 lb. butter
  • tt Salt & Pepper to taste


  • In a large stock pot bring water covered over peeled cubed potatoes to a boil
    Cook until tender, pierce with a fork, if slight to no resistance it is cooked.
    Remove from stove, drain the potatoes into a colander. return potatoes to the pot, add cream, butter, salt and pepper, heat slightly.
    Mash, taste, adjust seasonings, serve
