Ingredients

  • 1 each 18 - 22 lbs Turkey Wash inside and out
  • 3 quarts orange Thyme brine see recipe
  • S&P Season Bird

Instructions

  • Set Turkey in a roasting pot large enough to hold the turkey, soak in Orange Thyme Brine overnight
    Roast Turkey in Roasting pan, on the rack, at 325 in conventional oven, covered for 4.5 hours, basting every 30 minutes with 2 quarts of brine placed on the bottom of roasting pan.
    Remove lid or foil continue to cook uncovered for 1.5 hours for color, and internal temperature reaches 165 degrees.
