Sausage Corn Bread Stuffing

Sauage and classic corn bread stuffing combined for a tasty side dish

Ingredients

  • ½ lb bread toast in the oven at 250 for 15 – 20 minutes until dry and toasty,
  • 8 oz corn bread cubed or broken up
  • 2 each celery stocks peeled cut into small dice
  • 1 each onion peeled, cut small dice
  • 2 tsp poultry seasoning
  • 8 oz sausgae cooked diced
  • tsp salt
  • tsp pepper
  • 1 cup chicken stock

Instructions

  • 1 cup chicken stock
  • In skillet melt butter and sautee onions and celery until tender
  • Add toasted bread cubes, toss together
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Add slowly chicken stock until desired consistency.
  • Bake in a casserole dish at 350 for 30 – 40 minutes

Notes

Some like “flaky” stuffing utilizing less stock, some like it more densely moist., go with your preference
